FWB - Is This Normal?

I meet a man aged 55 with the idea of becoming a FWB, everything seemed fine, nothing seemed wrong. According to him he was separated from his wife but still living under the same roof. We meet at the hotel and he suddenly changes his mind and is no longer excited, his messages where all sexual.

Am I right in gathering his head was still firmly in his marriage?

I had a female friend who met such a guy. Funnily enough he could only meet her in work hours. I wonder why? Lol.

Yes, obviously he is still well and truly married.... but as anyone ever been with anyone who as got to the hotel room and the other person as changed their mind??!!

Did he know what you looked like beforehand? Might not have fancied you. Or could be that he felt guilty if he is still with his wife and stopped before it went too far.

Yes we had met so was attracted to each other but he was obviously still very married, committed to his marriage and family and felt extremely guilty.
I would imagine his wife was the only person he had, had sex with too.......

I think for some people there is a massive difference between virtual sex and the real thing.

If you suspect he'd only ever slept with his wife you may have dodged a very disappointing bullet tbh!
