I'm a regular but it's my first foray into this topic...name changed for obvious reasons!
A few week ago a guy from a mutal interest page on FB slid into my DMs and we've been messaging ever since, mostly about said interest, with a bit of flirty banter.
Late on Saturday night he messaged me, following up on chat from previous day/early morning. Long story short it got a bit a more personal than usual and it was clear that sexting was on the cards, however he was obviously after me making the first move and having never done that before (last time I was single mobiles didn't exist) I wasn't 100% confident to do so. I kept trying to get him to put something out there, as it were, but nada.
Eventually convo ground to a halt (I didn't reply to his last message because I just couldn't think of a reply) after 4 hours of back and forth. I messaged him briefly about something non-sexual the following day and haven't heard from him since (not necessarily unusual, we'd only been messaging once or twice a week).
So...I'm slightly kicking myself now, because I was really enjoying myself, and if he'd just taken it slightly further himself I'd have been up for it, but I suppose perhaps he was being cautious/respectful by leaving the ball in my court?
Clearly am massively overthinking it and working on the assumption there won't be a repeat performance, but if the opportunity arises again I'd like to make the most of it!
