As the title really. Looking for a low cost sex therapist to help me and my partner patch our relationship up. Have spoken to Relate but there is a long waiting list, however any private services we have found are very expensive and with CoVid and furlough wages money is quite tight at the moment.
A little background in case it helps the recommendations. We are a same sex couple so experience in this area is important. My partner is a child sexual abuse survivor, she has had counselling regarding this and has come to terms with it as much as possible. It continues to have a profound impact on our relationship however as she avoids sexual contact and does not particularly like to be touched sexually etc. This means we have a very one sided sex life which is not enjoyable for either of us.
She specifically does not want therapy with regards to the abuse and feels she has processed this and does not want to go over it again, however she wants couple therapy to help us move forward from this and have a more ‘normal’ sex life.
Any suggestions?
