How long after birth did y'all get your first period? Currently 5 weeks after birth and still not got it :/

Are you breastfeeding? That can make a big difference. I didn’t have a period for over a year with DC1. It was about 8 months with DC2. Even if you’re formula feeding, it’s normal for periods to stay away for 6-8 weeks after birth. So don’t worry.

I bf with my first it was about 8 months . With my second it was well over a year as I was feeding them both and like a milk cow. When they came back they were abit eratic for abit (once every 3 week) they have finally seemed to have settled now, there’s are shorter and lighter than pre kids.

I breast fed, I didn't have a single period between birth of DS1 and conceiving DD2 born 2 and 1/2 years apart. I remember mid-wife saying you can ovulate without having a period - there was a chance I could of had twins if 2 eggs were still present in the uterus.
I'd always had irregular periods though. Now in my early 40's and periods are as regular as clockwork!
