Increased sex drive taking the contraceptive pill

Is this a thing? Brief reading suggests so?

I've had a long break from the pill (had the coil fitted but now removed) and now back on the pill.

I used to take celest, now it's cerazette.

I had a high sex drive anyway, but flaming nora, I'm horny ALL THE TIME!

That's interesting because I've just discovered the same thing but opposite order! I was on the pill from age 16, average sex drive. I've hit 40, come off the pill altogether and am now horny all the time! It's bloody great! Enjoy OP

@ethal80 do you suspect there is still some truth in that a woman reaches her sexual peak around the age of 40?

Although I can say that the significant increase completely ties up with the exact day I started taking the pill again!

Early 40s here. Yes, l do feel that my libido may well be at its peak, unless it gets even higher.

l avoid hormonal contraception as it does not suit my body or my sex drive. I was once called names on a thread because l mentioned that l carried condoms in my handbag!

You don’t say how long you have been taking Carazette for, but things take a while to have an impact on your body. For me, after about 6 months it was not doing my body any favours.

If you get on with it, then fine. To your boudoir go with a skip and a jump and your knickers hanging off the lampshade .

@StarlightLady I've been taking it for a month now.

It's an interim after having the coil removed and pursuing a vasectomy for my Husband.

I like being horny, although I think my Husband is worn out! But not had any complaints!
