Fantasy vs reality

I'm on the verge of fulfilling a fantasy with my DP.
I wondered if anyone had actually fulfilled a fantasy that wasn't a let-down (as is the cliché) or, even, surpassed expectations?

Don't set your expectations too high and make sure this is something you 100% want and can handle. Expect the first time you try anything new to be a bit awkward, that's life. Enjoy Wink

We go to swingers clubs every couple of months and have done for years so there's not much I haven't experienced. Some things i built up too much and they were a let down. Some things have been truly amazing and unexpected, and some I probably wouldn't ever try again. I know that doesn't really help but I would say i have never regretted a thing so just go for it whatever it is and see what happens.

There are two opposing schools of thought here. One says that fantasies are best left as fantasies, while the other says that we usually end up regretting not doing the things we had a chance to do.

I tend towards the second one, because when we get old and look back on our lives if we never really did anything, we will have no memories to recall. It all depends whether you are happy sitting on the sofa with a cup of hot cocoa and a copy of Women's Weekly, or whether you want to hang from the chandeliers while having multiple orgasms. Your choice...

@xpc316e can I do a bit of both?!

Icouldstillbejoseph of course you can do a bit of both, but I advise first finishing the cocoa. You have obviously got a sense of humour, so why not try your fantasy and if it doesn't work out quite as planned, you can have a good laugh afterwards at it?
