DIY douche?

Regular poster but have name changed.

DP and I have a tradition of doing something more exotic in bed on NYE and this year he wants to try anal.

I haven't done it in years and never with DP. Happy to do it but feel I should have a proper clean. No time to buy a douche. Can I use a sports cap water bottle? Obviously I'll bin it afterwards any other tips?

I have a douche and tried to use it once but couldn't squeeze the water in for some reason and I didn't want to force it! .

When I've had anal, all I've really done is had a poo earlier in the day and I'm good to go. Unfortunately you can't predict this with any certainty and if I didn't feel comfortable/ reasonably empty, I wouldn't have had the anal.

I should also say that I wouldn't bother doing anything homemade douche wise! You might cause an injury.

@DrFoxtrot that's always been my method previously. But I wanted to be a bit more thorough this time around.
