Sex drive gone crazy

Has anybody else gone through a phase of unusually high sex drive? I’ve recently hit my mid 30s which I’ve been told can cause this but also had my contraceptive coil removed so maybe it’s that or a combination?

This obviously wouldn’t be a problem if I wasn’t single but DIY just isn’t cutting it and I’m finding myself wanting to shag every man in sight! It’s on my mind constantly and I’m finding it very distracting.

I’m a lone parent so don’t have the opportunity to meet anyone but even so, I really don’t want a committed relationship for the foreseeable future.

Any advice on dealing with this please?

Yes I'm in the same boat re sex drive I've gone from not thinking about it to wanting to jump most men I meet. Happily I'm married (DH thinks all of his Christmas have come at once)

Can you do it online and meet during the day? Obv weed out ruthlessly but I've heard positive things as you would literally have your pick!

Yup. Sorry I dealt with it with the able help of adult friend finder, fabswingers and lovehoney. Be selective because you will quite literally be wading in it.

Yes but I’m older than you but in a sexless marriage. There’s a thread on the menopause topic on Sex surge but I think you’re probably too young for that.... although clearly it’s a similar thing.

Yep. Just wrong side of mid 30's and sex drive is through the roof. I was in a sexless marriage for years and it didn't bother me for a long time. A while ago I found I couldn't get it out of my mind but I wasn't interested in my STBEXH. Now I have a new partner and I get to vent it! Not as much as I'd like as DCs etc. But yep, I'd have it every single day, twice at least if I could. I can't get enough. DP loves it.

I would guess having the coil removed might have more to do with it than your age. I’ve been pretty constant with personal level of wanting sex over the years but every time I stopped contraceptives, sex drive went through the roof. It all seems to settle to my usual within a few months.
