I have bought a beginners one and am suddenly shy. Should I try it alone before with DH? (Neither of us have experience of one)

A lot depands on your own confidence levels. It might be useful to have a try (plenty of lube!) on your own first, to see how comfortable you are with it.

Are you both planning to use it? Or just one of you? (Obviously wash in between).
My bf and I have one for him only. I found I needed to go really slow the first time and of course, lots of lube. They're a bit tricky to get in so it's not a bad idea trying it alone first.
