Semen and sinuses - help! (Mortifying question)

This is so embarrassing I think I might die but I need some advice. Please don’t laugh at me (although I admit that may be difficult).

Five days ago DH finished in my mouth during oral sex - it’s not something we do often because a) the stuff is grim and b) there tends to be a lot of it. But sometimes I’m up for it anyway, so we did it. No big deal. End of story, right?

I bloody wish. It seems that somehow some semen has become stuck in my sinuses because every time I lean forward / bend over to pick up the kids, I smell / taste it. And after five days it has not become more pleasant.

I’ve tried a sinus rinse thing and it hasn’t made any difference. What’s going on?!

I’ve told DH that his mouth finishing days are done permanently - boak.

Has this happened to anyone else? It’s never happened to me before!

It sound to me that you were about to have sinus problems anyway. If you take him towards the back of the mouth, but within your comfort zone, just before the blow (you can feel when it’s about to happen), it should flow straight down with no problem and minimal taste (the taste buds are further forward) and without discomfort. Try eating a few strawberries and kiwi fruit, that should sort it.

It is honestly so grim. I’ve had sinus infections in the past which can smell / taste awful but this is obviously a very distinctive taste / smell and it happens as soon as I bend my head forward (not envy)

Will eat some fruit right now. It’s never been an issue before, so I guess some must have squirted somewhere. Desperately trying not to imagine sperm trying to burrow into my eyeballs 🤮

For the record, swallowing healthy ejaculate is good for you. Anywhere near the eyes is positively dangerous.

If he tastes unpleasant even when near the back of the mouth, he needs lots of strawberries too.

It has always tasted awful to me with every partner, regardless of diet - I have very sensitive taste buds 😂

They can’t get from your sinuses to your eyeballs... right?! Going to try and flush again. Eww. Never ever ever again.

There was a post in here recently about how to take it at the back of the throat and not taste it...perhaps you should look it up 😂

Try steaming to clear your sinuses out.

Believe me, I’m not going to! I agree, it is a bit strange. I am trying to reverse this scenario in my head - if my DH did something sexually for my benefit, that he didn’t mind doing but didn’t actually enjoy, and then it caused unpleasant problems for a week afterwards, i would never dream of expecting him to do it again! I’m pretty sure he would refuse to do it again too.

Semen and my mouth are now mutually exclusive things, permanently. Clearly it’s hard for some people to grasp how gross this is - have you ever accidentally forgotten about a used condom in a bedroom / bathroom bin and then found it a few days later and smelt how awful it is? That’s what’s happening right now, but in my bloody face. Not a chance I’m ever risking that again!

Will try steam and keep flushing. Took some sinus tablets last night which actually seems to have helped a bit.

Semen cannot get into your nasal sinuses.

Well clearly it can because it has. I’ve had enough sinus infections to know what it’s like when you have unpleasant gunk in your sinuses, and enough experience of semen to recognise the smell!

OP: eugh I feel for you, keep going with regular washouts then if no joy go to the docs!

I would rather set my own sinuses on fire than see a doctor about this 😂
