Changed my name for this one!
Just wondering if anyone has ever had an STI and genuinely had no symptoms? I know they say it's highly possible in the cases of chlamydia and ghonnorea to not experience anything but I have a few friends who have had one or the other and they all experienced pain or bleeding.
I ask because I haven't had a sexual health check since being with my current OH and have noticed a bit of weird coloured discharge (sorry for TMI). No pain, itching, bleeding or anything like that. And he assures me he is safe.
I just always thought if you had what is essentially a quite harmful bacterial infection down there you would know about it?

I work for the Terence Higgins Trust, urging young people to take chlamydia screening tests, and our information is that around 70% of all women with it are free of any symptoms.

So, I'd say that a test would be a really good thing for you to have. Best wishes.

I discovered I had chlamydia in my 20’s and it was a big shock for me, I had no symptoms at all, and because of the circumstances I must have had it for years!
