49 (F) and sex drive is through the roof. Anyone else?

I seem to read a lot on here, that women are slowing down at this point. It's certainly not the case for me. It's the opposite, I can't get enough!

Wasn't too bothered in my 20's.

Became very highly sexed around 35+ and it's increased, year on year, ever since.

If circs mean we can't do it for over 10 days, I start to feel down (almost ill). And quite miserable.

I'm dreading the menopause, in case it goes away.

Whilst I don't think I have experienced it to the same degree as you, I do think my sex drive has increased with age

Yep. Same here. Age 46. Not sure if it’s a DP thing (am, erm, very attracted to him) or a hormones/age thing. Never been like this at any other time in my life!

Sort of looking forward to it subsiding though, as after 3yrs together my DP’s appetite isn’t matching mine!

If you find out what it is, I'll buy my wife a dozen crates of it.

I have the same issue (I’m 45). It is actually affecting other things as I can’t concentrate!

Such a shame these people aren't together.
It must be some kind of wonderful to have a partner with the same or similar sex drive.

Me too but it seems to have coincided with fantastic new DP. I'm 47.

My partner is 51 and craves sex (and intimacy). She has gone through the menopause and we were talking about how fortunate we are that she still needs sex. I think some of it is the result of a sex-positive attitude, but the luck of the draw and hormones play a big part.

I did have a partner whose sex drive was very high indeed until the menopause, when she lost all desire for it despite her previous attitude. All we can do is make the most of the cards we are dealt.

Same here (mid 40s) but luckily my partner can just about keep up. It's very distracting though.

Yup Im sex mad now (almost 50). As you get older you have more confidence about your body / if they don't like it go do one. So much pressure on younger women these days. HRT helps

Same here! Am 51 now and absolutely loving it. Have gone through the menopause (a year period free, don't know if that means I'm thro it or starting it!) but have noticed a definite increase in libido for the last 2 years. I have always enjoyed sex though, sometimes for different reasons like just being wanted, being close to someone but lately it's pure lust! Luckily I'm single now so able to indulge myself!

I am of similar age to the OP. My sex drive has increased with age due to being more confident as an individual and more experienced wiser lovers.

Yes! At 46...frustrated though because sadly my OHs has dwindled to nothing so I'm left high and dry. And if I try to mention it it makes it worse because he says its pressure. Really stuck in a rut about it
