The coil?

Just a question, if anyone knows how it goes getting the coil fitted ? Do I go to the doctor and tell them I want one, do I get it then and there or do I neee to go back ?

I think you make an appointment specifically to have one fitted, either at your gp or family planning clinic

At our surgery you make an appointment to discuss, if they agree they give you a prescription for coil to fill at pharmacy and then come back to fitting appointments which happen in the early morning.

Thank you, I can imagine that's how it would go at mine, nothing usually is simple !

For mine I had an appointment to discuss it with the doctor, then she made an appointment for me to come back and have it put in.

They obviously have a lot of no shows as the receptionist rang on the day to find out if I was still coming.

My advice would be to find out which GP has the most experience fitting then and make the appointment with them.
