Is sex better if you're tipsy?

Just that really.

I'm not a big drinker and a friend commented that they must be a bit tipsy to fully enjoy sex as it loosens inhibitions.

I personally think that's a very bad habit.

It takes work to get comfortable with not only your partner but also yourself.

Being drunk during sex isn't really attractive in my opinion. Not as a habit anyway.

DW prefers to have the odd drink first - and struggles stone cold sober.
Conversely, after a few drinks I just want to sleep :)

I certainly want none of my senses dulled during sex, and wouldn't want to have a tipsy partner either. By all means find something that relaxes inhibitions, but for me that has to be good communication, not booze.

Sober, tipsy or drunk! Each one is different in its own way but all very enjoyable.

We got into a habit of sharing a bottle of prosecco rather quickly when I arrive at DP on a Fri , then dinner in or out which usually involves at least half a bottle of red .... then a late night dtd in bed .
Went away recently and dtd in the afternoon before any alcohol and both said how much better it was . Kind of felt more present and every sense was more alert .
Def sober sex for me more so now !

Tipsy and drunk are certainly different worlds. Even a single drink can get some people to open up even if they feel no direct effect.

Our usual, sober sex is quite vanilla. We went out and got quite drunk recently and the sex we had once home was amazing. Much like when we first started dating!!

Sex doesn't "feel" as good when I'm tipsy and I can rarely come, even when masturbating. Hangover sex is the best though, inhibitions still mildly loosened, but all the sensation back to normal...

For some reason I read it as Hannover sex and thought why does Germany make it any better?

I think it can be fun tipsy sometimes, never drunk though.
But I think most of the time it is better sober.

I would be very concerned about someone who felt they needed to have a drink in order to have or enjoy sex.

Leave the drink, smoke a spliff high sex is the best sex ever! U can feel everything so intensely even if they are just stroking your hair!

With a decent hangover I’m usually sweating, thumping headache and trying not to throw up or shit myself! Throwing myself about or being pounded is absolutely the last thing I’d want !!
