To be honest I'd go to the doctor - it could be high blood pressure (which only gets higher and higher as orgasm approaches

Are you male or female? my husband used to get these a lot in his late teens. They seemed to go away after a few months

Try googling coital cephalalgia

Auldspinster · 07/04/2018 02:47

I've had this a few times before. Last time I got sent to hospital and ended up having a ct scan and lumbar puncture which came back clear. I'd see your GP just to be on the safe side.

It needs investigating - can be a warning sign for a bleed in the brain.

Most cases are a harmless nuisance though - there is medication that can help prevent it.

I’ve got the Buzzcocks tune in my head now Smile Definitely discuss the issue with a GP though.

I've had these off and on for most of my life.

Breathing is super important here. They can be caused by you holding your breath (you might not even realise it at the time!) or changing your breathing. If you feel it begin to come on, deliberately take some deep breaths and see if it helps - it may well do.

my OH has these - says they are crushing
