Are you better at sex when you're drunk?

I'm just wondering how normal/abnormal I am.

I've been married over ten years and my husband is a decent bloke, and I have not been mistreated sexually by him or by anyone else.

But I do have a bit of a problem letting go in sex. Frankly I need to be a bit pissed.

I think part of it is body hang ups, I'm no oil painting. I've had 5 partners and I've been like this with all of them.

I just feel a bit ridiculous trying to be sexy. Anyone else?!!!

I think I definately feel more confident when I’ve had a drink and am perhaps more adventurous.

No, I feel as though I can't connect with my partner when I have been drinking. It's like it's all just happening around me. I'm more confident, but usually feel less satisfied and not as close with my partner afterwards. If I haven't been drinking I feel more present and closer to my partner and find it easier to orgasm.

Have you tried having music on op? I find that keeps me out of my head and stops me worrying. This helps me to let go and just enjoy it and I definitely feel sexier.

Don't try to be sexy. Do what feels good for you and dont worry too much about your other half and you will hopefully start to relax. But yeah I think I'm some kind of sex goddess when I'm drunk in reality I'm probably a sack of tatties 😂

Oh i had this realisation last year - I dated someone and we always drank a lot and were very enthusiastic but he'd only achieve a semi and I couldn't feel enough to come. Then I dated a teetotaller and drove to his so I couldn't drink and realised what was wrong before. I felt so much more, and have done ever since. Have had different partners now and I'm on strictly 2/3 drink limit, none most of the time. I got used to feeling sexy when sober. Sometimes a Diet Coke or two for a boost 😂

Dp and I only manage time alone to dtd every other weekend and it's always after a nice meal out and too much bubbly .
Recently spent a long weekend in London together and unded up in bed all afternoon and sober ..... wow . We both agreed it was more present and intimate to be honest . Defiantly hit the big O easier than when drinking too .
I wouldn't aim for af all the time as the wine does make me less shy but can def feel more sober x

I meant to add: I have a lot of friends who can only have sex when pissed...

Think the issue is I can't relax enough when stone cold sober. And feel I can't ask for what I want without being able to backtrack later with the excuse that I was a bit drunk.

Not that I even expect anything out of the ordinary!
