I'm 43, married, 2 kids, and recently I find that I'm consumed with desire, with physical symptoms as well as in my mind (I.e. throbbing fanjo, flaring nostrils). We've all heard that women hit their sexual peak in their 40s - is this that??? My god, I'm so turned on just by the thought or mention of sex/willies/kissing. Any advice or anything?

Enjoy! 😉

moviesgirl · 02/02/2018 18:34

Sounds like you're having a sex surge

Solly76 · 03/02/2018 10:08

I have that problem too. More of a problem for me as I'm single. It's driving me crazy. I'm 42

Jason118 · 03/02/2018 10:17

I've had it for yearsGrinGrinGrinGrin

SpoonfulOfJam · 03/02/2018 14:11

I'm going through one if these. It's definitely hormonal. I've stopped taking the mini pill which made me an angry bitch with no libido, for 6 months.

I'm now in no artificial hormones and I feel carefree, happy and really horny!

I can't wait to get the kids to bed and pounce on my husband.

BettyBaggins · 03/02/2018 17:19

45 and yup rabid, single too, finding a man with stamina is not easy!

raginghorn · 03/02/2018 17:37

With DH out of action due to awful exhausting virus, we be not had sex for about 6 weeks - SO HARD!! I'm like a coiled spring. He's better now, so tonight's the night.
I've been fantasising about a male friend of mine, you know how it is when you're not getting any! Not that I fancy DH any less, not at all. But on an animal level, it's vaguely like 'any port in a storm'!!! I've posted about it (the fantasising about friend) in another thread, and people think I'm about to cheat on my DH when I visit my friend. I'm not - it's just the torrent of arousal and irrepressible hormones, and the temporary lack of action! Please say you understand!!!

I don't understand at all.

You lucky bastard

notthegumdropbuttons · 03/02/2018 19:25

I'm 31 and have had this for a year, it's fantastic, enjoy! Sorry to hear about the 6 week dry spell though, must have been tough Grin.

Wherearemymarbles · 03/02/2018 22:27

Well what your fellimg is probably what vast numbers of men feel when sex stops once kids arrive. The usual advice is that they should masturbate more.

BettyBaggins · 04/02/2018 20:17

But masturbating more doesnt help alleviate it all. What helps is, well, cock!

likmykwim · 04/02/2018 20:37

BettyBaggins I''m with you on that one. raginghorn Enjoy and take every opportunity to jump your partners bones. Long may it last.

userinterface34 · 04/02/2018 20:45

This is me! I’m mid thirties and unfortunately for me it seems at 5 years older than me my husband is the opposite! 10 minutes once a week if I’m lucky and it’s driving me to distraction!!! Finding myself lusting after strangers! Someone tell me it doesn’t last long I’m dying here 😢😜

Thewildthingsliveatmyhouse · 05/02/2018 14:53

I'm 38 and going through this too. Hubby is trying to help me out but I'm too much for him! I've not felt like this since I was a teen. Don't want it to pass, I just want to train my hubby to increase his sex drive!!! I'd easily do it every day but he's a 3 x a week kind of guy. I've even joked about seeing a younger man to get my fix.

bowtieandheels · 05/02/2018 16:33

Yep 41 here and I've been like this pretty much for the last 10 years, sometimes the urge gets so strong I could literally imagine jumping on the postman...who I don't fancy one bit! My boyfriend does his best to keep up with me bless him. Long may it last, I dread the possibility of it stopping due to menopause!

BettyBaggins · 06/02/2018 17:33

Me too bowtie, I feel lime I should have loads od hanky panky now incase five years time atrophy has set in!! Atrophy, nooooooooooooo!!!

BettyBaggins · 06/02/2018 17:34

like of

Not 'od hanky panky', though.....maybe Grin

JustAnIdiot · 13/02/2018 21:45

I'm in my early 50s & randier than I've ever been Shock I find myself eyeing up any bloke over 40 ATM & getting real fanny gallops if I let my mind wander!

Newly single (after a difficult & lately sexless marriage) & fortunately have found a FWB to scratch the itch!

0hCrepe · 28/03/2018 12:13

Same here 42 and youngest 18 months. Stopped taking mini pill because I didn’t get on with it and it’s gone through the roof. Thinking about it constantly. Dh not quite as keen unfortunately.

randommmmmmmmmmm · 28/03/2018 23:27

I'm 42 and actually watched porn
For the first

Disgusted in myself
But that and the vibrator worked
Once to
Twice a week is just not enough ....

balsamicbarbara · 30/03/2018 09:27

Now imagine this is how almost every man's brain operates as well Grin

Alfiemoon1 · 04/04/2018 12:01

Answers4hubby · 04/04/2018 17:27

Why can't men and women balance out at the right time! 😂😂

MoveDownSouth · 09/04/2018 16:55

THIS is what I think is wrong with me!
I have just turned 46 last month. My periods, always clockwork before, suddenly stopped last summer. Not had one since. In November I started to become increasingly horny! Very unusual for me. It has not stopped. I didn't dare tell the GP this but blood tests and scans have shown that there is nothing sinister going on and I am still ovulating. However, no periods and horniness through the roof!
Problem is, I have a sexless marriage!

I have read that a rise in testosterone in women peri-menopausal can cause this. I didn't even know what a peri-menopause is. And, it is the most common time for a woman to have an affair! I am finding myself very close to that! What can I do? My mum is RIP so I can't ask her anything.
I am having crazy thoughts about leaving my husband - it has got that bad! Is anyone else the same and does it settle?

MoveDownSouth · 09/04/2018 16:57

I have to confess...I have also watched porn for the first time in my life! What the heck is wrong with me?
Why doesn't it happen in all women? Why is nothing ever said about this with women?
