Niche kinks? Cross dressing and adult nappies

Was reading some kinky buzzfeed articles with DP of 1 year, over wine, and (perhaps foolishly!) pushed him a bit on his kinks/fantasies. He mentioned two new ones that I wasn't previously aware of. The first was cross dressing. The second was a fantasy involving me wearing adult incontintence pants under my clothes while we are out doing some mundane activity (however, he claimed not to be particularly interested in whether I wet myself, suggesting it was more about only him knowing what I was secretly wearing; I also don't think that there is any wider adult baby type thing).

I already knew that DP was kinkier than me (I am decidedly vanilla). I have absolutely no problem with some occasional cross dressing in a sex context and in private (which seemed to fit with his fantasy). However, not sure how I feel about the adult nappies. Therefore interested to know if anyone else has come across this before and how you responded?

No knickers under a short summer dress whilst we sre out... a fun and private secret. Adult nappies? Ermm no. I cant say that would work for me. I've come across lots of people for whom pacifiers, pigtails and nappies are a thing and whilst I dont judge - i do give a wide berth.

Was vaguely aware of it being a kink before but hadn't encountered anyone in to it. Guess this all fits with my initial thinking which is that this is pretty niche.

Had the original discussion on Boxing Day and DP hasn't mentioned since so perhaps best if I don't raise this again and see if he does...

Please think of the environment and invest in a reusable cloth one with a flushable liner.

Agree that it probably isn't the most common kink but I've heard of this before so probably not all that uncommon either.

Others may disagree, but if it makes your DH happy, why not try it? Maybe set some appropriate limits though first.

How handy would that be at a festival or nightclub when the queue is massive for the ladies toilets!

I was in a similar situation to you a few years back. Out of the blue DH told me he fantasised about me wearing adult nappies. I didn’t take it very well initially, and it was a big shock.
Initially I wanted nothing to do with it. I couldn’t bear the thought of it. We carried on talking about it when it became clear it wasn’t a passing phase for DH (he said he had felt this way since his teens, but had supressed it). I can’t remember how it came about, but eventually we got to the point where I agreed to try one (the first time was very brief!). It wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be, but it was a long time until I did it again. Very slowly, over time, I did it more often, usually with him wearing one as well. At that point I said I could never see myself wetting one, which he said he would like.
I realise to most people this will sound very odd, but after quite a long time, well over a year, I did try wetting one, and it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. Eventually, many years later, we are at the stage where I will suggest us both wearing if the opportunity arises, as I feel it brings us closer. As to wearing one outside the house, that isn’t something that appeals, but as with all the above, each to their own!
To those who want to write sarcastic or disparaging comments, I would just say that of course this is not for the vast majority of people, and I can see why people think it is weird. I am the most vanilla person around, but I have managed to come to terms with it by not judging, and most importantly, by talking and being open-minded.
