I'm male, late 50s, married for the 2nd time, several LTRs when younger. DW is fond of doggy, as have several previous partners, but it has never occurred to me to pull someone's hair when DTD. (Or to slap them on the bum, but that's a different issue.)

This site contains numerous references to hair pulling, as though it was common practice, but I wonder if it's just women going along with what their DPs have seen in porn (like another new practice, ejaculating on their body/in their mouth) or whether they really enjoy it? The point of my post was that this seems to be very recent. I'm reasonably sexually experienced, but I'd never even HEARD of hair pulling until a year or so ago and even that was in porn. I thought it was just another way to demean the woman performer, as much of porn seems to do. I wondered whether (1) women actually like it (and thanks to those PPs who replied that they do) or (2) they put up with it because they've seen it on porn and it seems like the thing to do. I'd be prepared to bet that's the case for some.

So what you're saying is that you've read every single thread in the sex topic, pulled out the less than a dozen references to hair pulling, which does not interest you or your wife in any way, and decided to start a thread about it?

I don't watch porn. I do take issue with the way porn is now a benchmark for what is considered "normal" or expected. I do like having my hair pulled (not randomly or clumsily yanked) and I'm a sub.
