To have sex in my office?

Lighthearted!! DP works close by and often pops in for a cuppa or brings lunch etc. I share with other folk but they leave a few hours before me. I can lock my office. I really wanna DTD in my office with DP, should I?? Anyone done this? Grin

Assuming there is no CCTV in the room or vicinity or anyone about who might hear noises, you might just get away with it. However, if word does get out, I think there will be some of your colleagues who will be pretty disgusted at going any where near your office, which I hope you don't share with anyone.

When I was a junior lawyer, 2 senior lawyers were known to have done it on the conference table. It was difficult to think of them to not have that image flash up. People could lose respect for you and you'd lose credibility.

OP, I hope you are not in a senior position and should therefore know better.

Calmanglass · 08/09/2017 10:48

Honestly I think it's really unprofessional. There's a time and a place. Are you being paid at the time? Should you be working?
Also it actually sounds uncomfortable and not very hygienic.

Mittens1969 · 08/09/2017 12:12

It was never a possibility for me with my DH as we never worked in the same office. I had a crush on a previous boss though and work colleagues teased me that something was going on. He was married though, sadly.

Maybe if the option had been there with my DH I would have done it in the early days. I'm much too self-conscious now.

If there's no CCTV then go for it!! Grin

Coconutcreampie · 08/09/2017 12:26

I almost exclusively have sex in my office - I work from home and my office is set up in part of my large bedroom Grin

Caribbeanqueen123 · 08/09/2017 12:32

I would chance it, as long as you have thoroughly taken steps to avoid being caught.

I've done it with a colleague over our boss's desk who we both despised which added to the thrill.
As for it being 'unhygienic', it's not as if we left a flippin used condom on his desk so I'm not sure what the problem is there. Disrespectful? Absolutely yes. But it felt so exhilarating, I really didn't give a stuff. This was many years ago and it's a memory that still brings a smile to my face years after.

AuntJane · 08/09/2017 12:42

it would probably be a disciplinary offence - it is in many offices.

Nice Hmm

FooFighter99 · 08/09/2017 12:53

I did it in my early 20's with the boss's son, after hours in his office upstairs... was incredibly naughty Grin

Snogged another colleague in the mail room (at the same place; I was rather slutty in my early 20's!!) went on to have a fling with him (by god he was sexy).

Went down on a guy in the toilets at a different job, but there was CCTV in the foyer so we had to cut it short and time our exits so we didn't look too suspicious (as the office manager though, there was only really me who viewed the CCTV!)

Workplace goings-on are awesome IMO!

Hope you had fun OP Wink

daisychain01 · 08/09/2017 13:04

I can't imagine the OP doesn't realise that it would be a sackable offence. This thread is either completely * lighthearted * and any sensible comments are irrelevant, or they are seriously considering it, and anything said on here won't make any difference!

I can't imagine it being possible in our office, there are no broom / stationary cupboards to hide in, and even after hours it's a massive open plan set up, but I guess some people must be desperate.

daisychain01 · 08/09/2017 13:20

What people could get away with 20 years ago probably wouldn't be the case today. I remember people smuggling bottles of spirits into the office, getting absolutely plastered down the pub at lunchtime, then trying to work in the afternoon etc etc. There's no way that would be allowed in your average corporate environment now, without serious repercussions.

Wanderlust1984 · 08/09/2017 15:34

Sorry all, been logged out! I wussed out a bit and just give him a BJ, full on next time! Yes I am quite senior and it is very unprofessional of me 😁 Sorry to those who this annoys! And I get paid for 39 hours but usually end up doing 60+ so I don't feel too guilty about taking ten minutes out to perform a quick BJ... also, doors were locked, I'm high up in a building which looks out to sea so no chance of anyone seeing in! I'll maybe try full on next week Wink

Ive known 2 people who were sacked for this recently. No cctv but were found out after people saw them leaving together and were suspicious. I think it's disgusting.

Wanderlust1984 · 08/09/2017 17:16

Sorry to disgust Confused

Not sure what the hours you work has a ything to do with it.

Hmm
Wanderlust1984 · 08/09/2017 17:40

As in I wasn't taking the piss, it was outside of my working hours?

Makes absolutely no difference if you get caught.

YetAnotherHelenMumsnet · 08/09/2017 18:31

Hi all,
We are moving this to the Sex topic. There have been some inconsistencies in this OP's story but it has been explained and the matter resolved, so on with the show!

Voice0fReason · 08/09/2017 21:50

Ive known 2 people who were sacked for this recently. No cctv but were found out after people saw them leaving together and were suspicious. I think it's disgusting.
So they were sacked when there was absolutely no evidence but people were suspicious?

I've known several people do this, never heard of anyone being sacked for it. Yes it's a risk, but most people wouldn't get caught, if they did get caught there's a very good chance that it wouldn't get reported and if it did get reported they might not even get sacked. So although there is a risk, it isn't high and as long as you are careful, no-one will ever know.
It's probably best kept within a closed office and not an open plan workspace!

overduemamma · 08/09/2017 22:14

God there's some prudes on here tonight. U go OP!! X

SirGawain · 08/09/2017 23:10

PolkaDotty7 clutches pearls!!

FuckYouLinda · 08/09/2017 23:29

Ahh fun times. I picked up DP and when I went to his office to pick him up and he initiated it. He's the office manager so knows where all the CCTV is positioned, and the only one with access to the tapes Wink

Twas frisky.

diege · 09/09/2017 18:10

I do it regularly and it is very addictive Blush. One word of advice, don't even think to hint to colleagues that you have, however close they are to you. You'd be surprised how responses vary, as seen here! I'm going to stop; it''s unprofessional, disrespectful to others who work in the same building/office, and could lose us our jobs. But it is also incredibly thrilling and naughty and such a turn on Grin So yes do it but proceed with caution...

BillBrysonsBeard · 09/09/2017 19:01

I would, as long as no cameras and a decent blind on the window. You only live once..

fiddlesticksdown · 09/09/2017 21:13

Oooo do it. Been there and it was bloody amazing - so risky which made it all the more brilliant
