Suddenly finding it really difficult to orgasm

I am lucky in that I normally do not struggle in this department Blush. I can come through PIV but also usually have pretty good orgasms with both DH and my bullet vibrator with cliteral stimulation. The last few weeks though it is just not happening. Had a go on my own with vibrator last night and couldn't get there.

It can't be overuse of vibrator as I have barely used it over the summer.

Not sure if it is just one of those things? I am usually slim and quite physically fit but am very untoned and carrying a podgy belly (for me) at the moment so am self conscious when touched and also have done no exercise (hence the belly) so I wonder if lack of exercise is an issue. Have been finding sex fairly hard work Blush.

I am very frustrated!

In fact I wonder if it is because I am not relaxed? Except I feel fairly relaxed except I do try to hide my tum a bit. Wouldn't explain not managing it with vibrator though.

Are you dealing with another stress or lifestyle change? Any physical symptoms or other health issues?

Thanks both. No new meds. No other stressors (2 kids but no new stress Grin).

Do feel a bit embarrassed about the weight gain but not hugely so - more embarrassed about my tummy overspilling my jeans in the daytime rather than in bed!

Has anyone found lack of fitness an issue with orgasms?

Hi rainbow, i had this issue quite recently. I would have a sort of half orgasm or it would build up to it then just disappear. I've increased the exercise and been taking a daily vitamin b supplement.

RainbowBriteRules · 28/08/2017 11:57

Yes the half orgasm is EXACTLY the problem. Did you notice a difference with exercise?

I'm not sure if it's the exercise but I've been taking the vitamin b complex for a couple of months and I'm currently back to normal. I lost a lot of sensation and sensitivity when having disappearing orgasm syndrome (I've made that name up btw). I also found I was putting extra pressure on myself getting stressed about it. I chatted to dp about it and he distracted me as much as possible.

RainbowBriteRules · 28/08/2017 12:19

Might investigate vitamins too then!

I had to try something, i was getting desperate for a proper release. Even diy was getting nowhere.

Hope you're fixed soon Grin

What age are you? Could be a hormonal change?

RainbowBriteRules · 30/08/2017 08:15

I'm late 30s so I hope not!

Hormone changes can start then... but do considered whether it's other things too.

Stressing too much doesn't help. It might just be a blip - keep practicing!

If it does seem to continue to be a problem, seek medical help.

(also menopause matters is a good website - not to scare you but being well informed is a way of getting things sorted and considering what might be causing the issue!)
