Does anyone who used these as pelvic muscle exercisers know how long it takes to get any benefit please?

After posting the first post, i have only used these 3 times, but a bit worried now as there was a smear of blood on them when i removed them earlier today, hopefully just scraped me a bit as they were quite uncomfortable when walking about, any help please.
Thanks in advance

I did try these (although tried an easier version from love honey that have a cord pull) but couldn't get on with them and found them a bit uncomfortable. Was also a bit worried they would get stuck! Also some did not look very smooth and as if they would be scratchy.

So I didn't carry on even though I had heard good things about them. Supposed benefits in a few weeks. Decided just to do pelvic floor exercises instead.

AkimboLimbo · 27/08/2017 21:40

I've got the 50 shades ones from Lovehoney. They come with string but I removed that so it's just 2 balls now. They are heavier than ben wa balls because I wanted it to be a challenge. I wear them when I'm doing my housework Grin
They're just a fun way to practice my pelvic floor exercises - don't know if they make much difference.

lovemylover · 27/08/2017 21:44

Was just a bit worried about the blood smears..but they were not very comfortable.might look at lovehoney.or might just do the exercises

Lelo beads are ace, I did a load of research after having dd2 a few months ago and they came up time and time again as being pretty good. I've found benefit with just one month of use, so far so good!

CrouchEndMum · 27/08/2017 21:49

I hadnt heard of these before, but if the way they work is similar to a jade egg, then you might like to read this: metro.co.uk/2017/01/18/a-gynecologist-has-confirmed-that-sticking-jade-eggs-up-your-vagina-is-definitely-a-bad-idea-6388174/

the relaxing of the pelvic floor muscles is an important part of the process too.

lovemylover · 27/08/2017 23:51

The ones i got were plastic i think, but quite big, i think they irritated me ,so wary of them now
Might look at those beads though, where are they from ?

I got the lelo luna beads from Amazon
Here's the link www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0029ZALB2?tag=mumsnetforum-21
It says to use them for 15 minutes max at first, just one ball, then building weight of balls over time.

lovemylover · 28/08/2017 11:48

spindry thank you. maybe i used them for too long at a time, bit scared to use them again, but had no bleeding since,so i think must have irritated me or scratched,
There was no instructions with them, , but they were quite big.and the second one kept slipping out
Plus was probably not a good idea to take the dog for a long walk with them in lol
Are there any a bit smaller,or are they generally all the same size?

OP posts:
lovemylover · 28/08/2017 11:56

Just seen there are 2 different sizes, ,i might try some smaller ones

RainbowBriteRules · 28/08/2017 11:58

I think it is weight of the balls you need to look at as well. Love honey have some good guides on their website.

lovemylover · 28/08/2017 13:51

Thanks i will have another look, the first ball fitted very tight. but the second didnt always stay in place

OP posts:
lovemylover · 29/08/2017 20:51

Well tried again this time they stayed in place, yesterday no problem, today blood smears again, so made appointment with GP in case its something else, worried though now,so not using them again

OP posts:
RainbowBriteRules · 29/08/2017 21:09

Sounds wise to leave it for now. Hopefully they are just irritating you but best to get things checked out Flowers.

lovemylover · 29/08/2017 21:56

Thank you.there is no trace of blood at all without those so thinking it might just be irritation. I hope, but can't see Dr till Friday

Flowers You must be concerned. Good that you went to see the GP.

lovemylover · 02/09/2017 17:10

Thank you,yes very worried, but read a few things it could be like a polyp maybe, hope so,
I have had no pains or discomfort, but i suppose that doesnt mean anything
It might even be stress related, i have had 3 months of high stress,

OP posts:
lovemylover · 06/09/2017 13:20
