I feel embarrassed even writing this but last night my dp started to go "down" on me then stopped. I asked him if everything was okay and he just said "yes" then starting having inter course on top. I felt something was wrong and couldn't enjoy sex so just said I felt a bit tired and could we stop.

This morning I asked about the oral sex because he doesn't usually just stop and he said well yes, I'll be honest and say I started but could taste "wee" so stopped

I said it might be because I came off my period a couple of days ago it takes a few days to get to normal, to which he agreed and said not to worry and tried to reassure me it would be my post period phase.

I feel mortified.

This has never happened and I now feel paranoid about the "taste" downstairs. If he does oral again I am going to constantly thinking does it taste ok, is he enjoying it etc.

I shower daily and look after myself.

No useful advice here but I'm always paranoid after coming off my period that there would be an aftertaste .. I hate that I feel this way

You're right, I have had moments where I have tasted a hint of wee when I have gone down on him but after the initial "taste" it goes away.

I won't go down or my partner or her me unless showered beforehand because you can taste of wee - it's really off putting. Never noticed it with male partners though. My DW is the cleanest person I know btw so not a case of her not washing regularly.

Surely the way he reacted should mean exactly the opposite to what you posted above. If he has any issue with taste/smell you know he will just move on to something else.

He has proven he won't just stay down there if he isn't enjoying it so really can't see the problem. People taste different from time to time for all sorts of reasons. You now know he will either just move on if there is even the slightest issue for him, or crack on if all is good. Can't think of a better scenario tbh.

It's not like he ploughed on through then complained after, or jumped up and exclaimed there was a problem. Couldn't have handled it better IMO

Well he is of course free to do or not do what he is comfortable with. However, it's a vagina, does he expect it to taste of strawberries and cream? If it was oozing septic discharge I could understand but a faint taste of wee?
