Can you really tighten your fanny with pelvic floor exercises?

New man on the horizon & I'm concerned I'm not tight as I used to be post kids. I could never be bothered with pelvic floors after my births. How does everyone else get on when re-starting a sex life in your middle years?

Hi OP. Similar situ to you plus also having some issues with keeping tampons in place led me to investing ££££ in an electronic pelvic floor exerciser thingy and I'm really happy with the results after almost daily use for a couple of months. I can definitely say that my ability to grip and squeeze has dramatically improved. Before I started I could barely feel anything when I was trying to squeeze. Now I definitely feel like I could grip!! Haven't properly tested it out on my man yet mind you but I feel loads more confident.

Whether I could have achieved the same result without the machine I don't know. Instinct is I could have but not nearly as quickly.

Good luck Grin

I did do my pelvic floors and oh says it feels no different to before children

CrowOnTheBroom · 17/06/2017 21:43

They do make a difference, though like any muscle it's not going to be instant. Mymouth - they're obviously working if your dh can't tell the difference after children!

Yes, you can definitely improve things - not just for your sex life but for continence too.

Have a look at hypopressive exercises, meant to be even more effective than standard pelvic floor ones.

I have had sex with women who have never had a child and women who have had children and i can tell you it feels just as good either way ! I think a general level of fitness is important though as muscle is muscle after all and i do think pevlic floor excercises must be of some benefit i the same way as they are to men.

You could get some Ben Wa Balls. Pop them in and do the housework, works a charm.

DW has always been quite particular about pelvic floor exercises. As a result, she has an enormous amount of 'control'. On a few occasions she has actually squeezed me right out of her. She was never able to do that before children.
