Anyone had this type of pain after sex?

Basically horrendous stomach pains/cramping spreading into lower back pain and a very heavy crampy dragging feeling in what feels like my uterus plus stabbing pain in my bum :/

Had it on Sunday then this morning towards the end then after sex I ended up curled in a ball crying shaking and nauseous with pain.

Has anyone had similar or know what it could be? I'm equally embarrassed and worried about it. When I tried to walk afterwards it felt similar to the pushing when you're in labour as if something was being dragged or wanted to push it's way out.

It has calmed down a lot now but still feel as if I have mild period pains and general discomfort everywhere down there.

I really don't want to feel this ever again but not sure whether gp or walk in centre or just shut up and put up

Tia

Of course this is one for the ladies but it sounds not unlike what my wife described feeling like when she was suffering from a prolapse. Go and see your GP, certainly do not ignore it. Pain is your bodies way of telling you something is wrong.

thethoughtfox · 22/02/2017 17:07

That sounds like prolapse. You refer to labour pains so I assume you have given birth at some point. Get is checked ASAP.

Thanks for the replies. My dm suggested prolapse :/ she had the same after having me.

I gave birth 18 months ago very traumatic forceps delivery with baby in distress and me losing consciousness but no problems until now Confused

I've just been worrying about it being nothing and being a time waster but I've really been suffering. To be honest I'm a little bit scared of it being a prolapse or something even more serious aswell.

Is it a ring the doctors in the morning or go to the walk in today type of problem? I will get it seen to either way just not sure the best course of action from here

Just go to the gp. Asking laymen, or even people on here who claim to be medically qualified, is no substitute for a proper consultation with your doctor. Besides, as you are apprehensive, if anyone here tells you there's no need for urgency you might focus on that as justification for delaying it. Be strong.

Shall call them in the morning. Dp has been gently encouraging me to work up the nerve and go.

That's true I wouldn't look for a diagnosis online more a do I need to do something type thing. Still a bit scared but I guess I'll feel a little better once I know what's going on

I get similar to this, sometimes, with my endometriosis. It could be many things, just make an appointment if you need to.

livelyredjellybean · 23/02/2017 13:27

I got this type of pain in March / April last year; turned out I was pregnant! DD is now 11 weeks after a healthy pregnancy.

NotTheFordType · 23/02/2017 17:13

I have experienced this type of pain before when with a partner with a long dick. When I was menstruating this would aggravate the pain as well. I believe it's because of banging into the cervix.

However the dragging feeling you described does sound like something more and I'd definitely see your GP.

I have had this pain for years, it's usually when I'm ridiculously tired and have just had sex. I don't get the 'dragging' feeling though. It's absolutely horrendous cramps that mean I have to be curled in a ball and I kind of struggle to breathe a little.

I've been to the doctor who said they didn't have a clue and if it wasn't constant not to worry, tried different doctors and nobody has any idea. I've never given birth so don't have that reason either.

Could it be constipation?

BlackMirror · 25/02/2017 20:55

Could be PID maybe

YesICanHearYouClemFandango · 25/02/2017 20:59

I used to get this a lot, and still have it sometimes. I have lots of pelvic/abdominal adhesions. As a pp said, endometriosis can cause this type of pain too. I'd advise going to your GP and asking to be referred for a laparoscopy.
