Depo injection affecting libido?

Hi has anyone had any experience of this?

Started having the injection nearly 2 years ago and i think since then i can't get in the mood. We have 2 young children so general tiredness is an issue but i just don't feel like it at all.

I do it and when i do its good but i dont know if changing off the injection will help.

Yes that Depo for you! Best thing I did was stop having it.

Yep I had similar experience with depo . Never recommended it to anyone

I had the same, had a really really high sex drive, started depo and it disappeared slowly but surely. I discovered that a similar mix of hormones is used to suppress sexual urges in sex offenders in some places...(pubmed research available with quick Google) Whilst the progesterone only pill didn't restore my sex drive fully, it was better than the depo.

The only way to know for sure is to come off it and see what happens.

I personally haven't noticed any effect myself (and have been on it over 6 years now) but we all react to hormones differently.

I know 5 women who used depo and they all said it was the absolute worst. Killed their sex lives. Once they went off they were back to normal.

Another vote to avoid depo!!!
