Help me get my nerve up...

DH and I have been toghether a while, 2 kids together, oldest is 8. Lost my sex drive somewhat after kids... we do have sex and its great, but recently my libido has gone through the roof, which has taken me somewhat by suprise. So yesterday in a fit of feeling super up for it, I ordered a bundle of stuff from lovehoney and this morning it has arrived! So good people ofthe mumsnet sex board... help me get my nerve up to use them with DH.. he doesnt even know I ordered them... or was even considering sex toys... we've never used them before. I don't drink so that advice doesnt help! I'm actually quite shy and altough i'm comfortable with my body I'm not very confident at asking for what I want.

What do I do?? Should I just whip out a vibrator/ butt plug? Blush Confused

You should start off teasing him with some hints about something new and naughty you've bought as a late couples Christmas present, keep him intrigued for a while before revealing your new toys. Perhaps eek it out over a few days if you've bought a few.

I can't imagine he'll be complaining, unless you've bought a lot of products much larger than him Shock

Whips, butt plugs and vibrators, my my hubby is in for a surprise!!! Grin

You could have them ready inserted, under you pants for when he comes to bed?

Posted too early. Or maybe just say you've bought us a present and show him? He may well wonder if the butt plug is for you or him or both.

Have fun Grin

Wrap them up for him for Valentine's Day

Send him a photo of one of the items via text or Whatsapp and ask him what he thinks...

Then if he replies excitedly you could send him a photo of you using it. Wink

And then a message saying that you'd enjoy it if he helped you use it later...

Thanks for all your replies.... it's my birthday this weekend so might text him and let him know that I have bought us a present and give it to him to open.... I think he is already in a slight state of shock as I have been very frisky with him lately!

Not sure if I'm brave enough for the photo stuff ... yet!

Tell him you've bought something by text then get him to guess what it is by sending him pictures of small areas up close...?

I had this exact same dilemma a while ago, I just text him and sent pictures. We talked all day by text about using them then we couldn't wait to get to bed when he got home

Happybunny19 · 14/02/2017 21:38

Well OP, have you managed to show him what you bought?
