Silicone vibrator - does else anyone get sore?

Years ago when I was single I had a trusty vibe - I used it regularly for several years with much pleasure. 20 years on and finding it harder to climax with DH, I took the move to introduce a battery helper to our bed - good results. The only problem is that it makes me sore even after gentle use on my outer parts and shallow dips inside. It is made from medical silicone (the Swoon one from Boots) - even when used with water based lube (KY Jelly), the silicone although soft seems to drag on my delicate bits. Does anyone else have silicone intimate problems? - I'd like to try a hard plastic one like I had 20 years ago but I can't identify a decent one (I want a proper sized one not a bullet). Has anyone else solved the soreness by changing to plastic or should I just give up and go back to manual? Advice please...

I love my silicone vibes, never had a problem with dragging. I have to say that KY jelly is fairly awful. There are much better quality lubes available. Lovehoney and Sliquid are my favourites.

For a fabulous smooth plastic vibe I can recommend this www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=15687

You can filter Lovehoney's range by material so you can look at all of their plastic options. You can also return it if it doesn't work for you so worth giving them a go.

I find silicon a bit draggy too.

Could glass be an option for you? There are some where you put a vibrator into a ring at the end which pulsates the whole piece?
