Hi all,

My partner has suggested that I shave (yep, down there!) - quite intrigued. Thoughts?

OP posts:
dementedpixie · 02/03/2016 11:26

Oh no, think of the regrowth!! Does he shave? What is his reasoning?

Coco0123 · 02/03/2016 12:01

I suspect he has a heavy porn habit & has been conditioned to think this is how women should look

BearFeet · 02/03/2016 12:19

Do it if you want. Don't if you don't. I do sometimes and prefer it. Veet sensitive is what I use.

BearFeet · 02/03/2016 12:22

Is your name intentional?Grin

MirandaWest · 02/03/2016 12:23

What are you intrigued about? If you want to remove your pubic hair then do, if you don't then don't.

donajimena · 02/03/2016 12:23

I'd tell him to fuck off.

Northumberlandlass · 02/03/2016 12:28

Do it if you want, don't if you don't.
I wax smooth underneath. It is my preference. But respect every woman's right to keep her 'garden' how she likes it!

backonthebikeagain · 02/03/2016 15:28

PMSL at your user name and thread!!

It will be itchy and the growing back is horrible. Cant you trim very well?

Benedictinemonk · 02/03/2016 17:55

I suggest you say "you first" and see what reaction you get.

Sparklycat · 02/03/2016 17:57

I tell him to get lost and finish it.

LilacSpunkMonkey · 02/03/2016 17:57

I'd like to know your partner's reasoning for your shaving.

And you say they're a new partner? And they're already unhappy with your body?

Personally, I'd say bin them.

pastmyduedate0208 · 03/03/2016 12:37

It does hint a bit at your new partner's porn or sexual services habit... It's certainly connected to those things.

I sometimes do it as a kink for my long term DP but totally for my own choice. I find it makes things more sensitive/sensual. (I can feel his facial stubble etc sorry if TMI!).

You need to use the right shaving products or you will itch like hell. I've got some Bic Lady foaming gel with Aloe Vera at the moment which is working for me.

Use a good quality razor, triple or double blade.

Don't do it unless you find it a turn on for yourself.

Complete bollox. You do it pastmy does that mean you have a porno habit?

It's almost a fashion currently so Op's BF may have seen it on another and liked it. Nothing to do with porn.

I prefer hairless women. It's weird you wouldn't post if a BF told you he didn't like hairy legs. This is no different.

Gosh I wonder how it could have become 'fashion'?

pastmyduedate0208 · 05/03/2016 13:14

Grin Fashion mags are full of shaved pussy don't you know.

BackToTheCaveman · 05/03/2016 15:18

Of course it may have started from the porn industry but it is well past that stage now.

Not all fashions are in fashion mags. Plus do you think you vajazzle on a full bush?

TealLove · 05/03/2016 15:22

It's your choice

LogicalThinking · 06/03/2016 16:05

I shaved my pubic hair long before I ever saw any porn and the first porn I did see for quite some time was very hairy.

It's as much if not more about feel as it is about look.

It's entirely up to you. If you want to give it a try then go ahead, if you don't, just say no.
You can just trim it if you want - hair clippers or a beard trimmer do a good job of that.

Eekaman · 07/03/2016 19:31

So donajimena says...

I'd tell him to fuck off.

Wow! No possibility of discussion, or talking things through, or listening to others views, just fuck off....

Back on topic, I recently asked Mrs Eek if she fancied regrowing her bush. She laughed and said no chance, the words fresher and sexier were also used.

TwitTwatTwunt · 10/03/2016 22:30

where is the OP? Hope you have not had a ghastly misshap during pruning Grin

ladylambkin · 12/03/2016 12:25

I have shaved for almost 20 years never get bothered with itching and like to keep it neat (probably only shave once a week) I find it fresher and more sensitive. I do it for me though and not a man. If you want to then do it if you don't then don't. ..simples

Shesinfashion · 13/03/2016 20:24

Isn't it loads of upkeep? My bush grows like wild fire. To maintain any semblance of smooth and hairless I'd have to shave the fucker at least twice a day. Who can be arsed with that, seriously?

EdmundSlackbladder · 18/03/2016 20:25

Give it a go. It'll always grow back.

suspiciousofgoldfish · 19/03/2016 06:19

Mines always shaved. I leave a trimmed bit in the middle, just to show I am old enough to grow pubes, but I've kept it like this for ages.

I don't even get much action these days (young kids, heavily preggers, can't be arsed) but I like the way it looks and feels.

Never asked DH if he likes it or not.

His is very neatly trimmed at all times, i have never commented on it but FWIW it looks nicer and a bit more 'inviting' IMO.

If you find the re-growth too itchy or the upkeep to much then just don't do it again.

lunar1 · 19/03/2016 06:27

If you want to do it I'd wax not shave. I look like I've got measles if I shave!!
