G-spot after pelvic foor recovery

Hi Mumsnetters

It's likely that I need to have a pelvic floor repair on the anterior and posterior wall having had two enormous babies who had to be forcepped out :-( I'm keen to have the surgery but worried that it might reduce sensitivity. Sorry if it's TMI but I don't want to risk the g-spot - it's petty important! Has anyone had a pelvic floor repair and did it have any negative impact on sensitivity / g-spot / sex life in general?

oh I had the same reconstruction after DD1 (7years ago!)
personally, I didn't loose any sensitivity in the g-spot!
to go a bit tmi, the first 6months everything was very tight (a bit too much so, it was like losing my virginity all over again lol!) but after a while it was all normal. If anything sex was better, just take it slow for a while lube will be your friend during this time

The only thing to consider is that after having everything repaired, you do have scar tissue (this has no ill effects on sex life I promise!) but if you plan on any more babies you run the risk of tearing badly, as scar tissue doesnt stretch well nor heal very well.
That is why DD2 was an elective section. So if your happy with no more babies or a section for any future ones, then seriously go for it! best thing I did, as if you need both anterior and posterior rebuilt your at huge risk of other complications without it.
