Is this exercise causing a decrease in my sex drive?

For the past few months I have been doing lots of training for a sporting event that I am taking part in next summer. I exercise a few hours four days a week and absolutely love it and I am feeling great. I have lost quite a lot of weigh taking my BMI to just over 20. Recently though I have noticed that my sex drive has decreased and it is taking me much longer to get in the mood and to orgasm. Do you think this is linked? The exercise is the only thing that's different in my life.

Interesting...I'd hazard a guess that most people would report the opposite effect - up to a tipping point where you are over-training and exhausting yourself, but you would notice the other effects of that. Could your attitude have changed wrt your DP - along with yours for your own body?

I have the opposite feelings when I'm gung ho for the exercise.

Are you feeling different towards your relationship in general other than this?

I started exercising in February. My sex drive has dropped significantly since. It was always really high, now it's average. DP is ok with it but I am a little put out!

I've experienced a kind of 'high on exercise not too bothered about sex' phenomena

also a link between low body fat and low libido

Hmm, now you mention it, I have been strength training since summer and had noticed a decrease in my libido, but I had put this down to peri-menopause.
