If you're very long/short sighted what do you do?

A friend of mine has been complaining that her boyfriend nearly always has his eyes shut when they DTD and how she doesn't like it. I said I wonder if it's because he's very long-sighted (+7 or 8 I think - we've commiserated about our rubbish eyesight before!).

She (with 20/20 vision) laughed at me.

The thing is, I remember it being a shock kissing somebody without my glasses on (I'm about -7) and them suddenly springing into focus - I found it very distracting! I think I generally kiss with my eyes closed - I definitely would if I didn't have my contacts in.

So, was it a completely ridiculous comment for me to make? I don't know whether being that long sighted would make a difference or not... I can't ask him, obviously, and I really want to know now

Maybe he just enjoys the sensation. I shut my eyes for a lot of it and I have no vision issues

Maybe he's focused on trying to last a little longer

I tend to shut my eyes at points when DTD, especially receiving oral, because it helps to focus on the sensation. I also tend to get distracted by things like noticing the cat's been sharpening her claws on the bedpost!

I close my eyes for better focus on the sensations a lot of the time - vision isn't a factor in that (I don't wear glasses)
