Dildos - which material?

Requirement: dildo that would be mainly used for mouth play, but some penetration. Silicone tastes weird - is glass my best bet? Has anyone used a glass one for penetration, anything to be mindful of other than the need for warming up first? Ta.

Glass is great for penetration - very easy to keep clean too.
I like silicone (can't say I ever put it in my mouth) as it is non porous so no leeching and very hygienic.
I won't use any jelly like materials.

Glass is amazing. It's so easy to clean and good for temperature play. They can be more expensive though and need replacing each time if dropped or knocked against something and gets chipped or cracked.

I dislike our glass dildo for mouth play because I don't like the feeling against my teeth (I have an irrational fear of breaking a tooth against it), but could not recommend them more for penetration.

I use flavoured condoms on our silicone dildos for mouth play to avoid the hard glass and the icky silicone taste. Only works if you like the taste of condoms though!

I had to laugh when I read the packaging on the one glass toy I had and it said dishwasher safe.

Practical, but I kept imagining pulling out the drawer in the morning to be faced with a row of wine glasses, tea cups and butt plugs.

I shared a flat with a few girls and we had to have a sit down about not putting sex toys in with the regular crockery in the dishwasher, they had to have their own wash cycle...
