How often do you and your other half have sex?

A bit personal I know but I'm curious. Each relationship I've been in has been very different on that front so was wondering what's normal for others.

I don't mind saying Smile probably about once a week at most. Although, personally I want more. He doesn't have a high sex drive though Sad

It varies. For example this month has been rubbish for our sex life so far. I had a sickness bug, AF arrived, and then he's been on nights so its been rubbish frankly.

We're off on holiday tomorrow so we'll be at it like rabbits and make up for the dry spell.

We're compatible and we both know that a dry spell is down to circumstance rather than a sign that there is an issue.

Usually 4 or 5 x a week, sometimes a bit less, more on holiday. If DS has a bad week with sleeping, we do it less but he's pretty settled into a routine now. If it's less, it's less and that's not a problem but we don't get into a habit of less because we like it. Grin

It's so relative isn't it.. Me and DP have it on average once every 3 weeks/month, but it's always so good. I guess it satisfies us enough? Plus we are always touching in other non sexual ways. But recently we've said we want to make more effort, as we really enjoy it but get lazy with initiating. So new aim is once a week and we're doing well so far.. I can't imagine doing it 3x a week like a lot of people but we're all different! Smile

I think it's very variable depending on how old your kids are, what your work hours are like, and how high of a libido you have.

When DS was younger my H and I probably managed about 2-3 times a week if I was on a Mon-Fri shift, but if I worked a weekend and had 2 days back in the week then we'd be at it like rabbits on those days.

In my last LTR we would have a morning quickie probably every other day and then a longer session on the weekend. Once DS left home it would get a bit more relaxed and quite often we didn't get out of bed til mid-afternoon at the weekend. I miss those days (not the ex though.)

For various medical reasons we haven't had sex for a year....
....and it hasn't made the slightest bit of difference to our relationship.

We did used to have sex on a regular basis, maybe 4/5 times a week.
We've been together a long time.

It varies enormously due to health issues
Anywhere from a few times one week to nothing for several weeks.
Quality is far more important than quantity. When we do have sex, it's fantastic.
Since becoming parents, there hasn't really been a 'normal'!

Well I'm heavily pregnant and my libido went on the missing list around 28 weeks! Although we've had sex a few times as I want to feel that closeness to my DH. Normally, about 2 to 3 times a week? Depends on our lives and schedules, we're both pretty busy. I would prefer more but my DH is a great believer in quality over quantity and believes if the job's worth doing, it's worth doing well! He doesn't really like having a quickie for the sake of it. And I have to say, I'm always a very satisfied customer ????

Bit worried how having a baby is going to affect our sex life though but too tired to care right now

It varies. Depends on shifts we are both on, illness, kids etc. some weeks might be once then others 3 times

Whenever we have a day to ourselves, minus AF, flu or if we have a big outing planned. So that could mean 5 times a week all the way to zero during school holidays. Once or twice we'll do it while the kids are in the house...riskay!

With 5 kids every week is different but I would say between 3 - 6 times is the norm for us for intercorse unless its time of month or something.

Whenever we can, usually. DH works away a lot so we make the most of it when we are together. When he gets home after a week or two away, it's safe to say I am usually really up for it. He'll be at home for a week or so, during which we will have sex every day if possible. Then he goes away again and it's back to sexy late night Skype calls and sending each other naughty texts until the next time. I actually think the anticipation adds a lot to how much we want and enjoy sex when we are together.

It varies, I was on the pill for a long time and it totally ruined my sex drive. We could go weeks without it and it didn't bother me, although it bothered DH hugely.
I came off the pill in January and my sex drive has definitely increased, we have been at about 2-3 times a week (apart from AF). We've just got back from holiday and we had sex at least once a day, every day which was lovely. Need to try to keep it going now we're back though! So far only once in 4 days but we have been catching up on sleep!
