Not sure where you are meant to post 6th form messages but wondering if anyone has a dc or experience of LAE Stratford? It appears to be quite high performing and have just got a place.

DC very happy at current school but does not really push kids hard academically or help them with career paths.

@Leafygreeny , you can also post or search in the Further Education section but this section gets more traffic.

You're like to get more responses if you put the sixth form name in your title.

And possibly if you post in Further Education (although posting in Secondary Education likely to get more views).

At sixth form level, I'd suggest it's up to your DC to make the choice though. Ultimately they need to be fully invested to get the most out of it.

Not sure how to edit the title - thank you!

@Leafygreeny , you have to ask MN to edit.

Is your DC just about to start there this September, did they have a conditional offer or is this a waiting list offer?

They also have a second branch in Tottenham - DS1 did get an offer there but he he preferred other places.

The information I can find about LAE Stratford online is mostly 5 years old - I had a look at the Tottenham branch's website when we were waiting for DS1's results. I confess I'm a bit of a sceptic about some of the LAE claims, and would say compare as many options as possible if this isn't for next week and discuss with DC whether this is the best choice for them.

There are colleges which offer lots of support for Oxbridge and Russell group applications for students who want them, but also other options.
