September Secondary Wren

My DD starts at Wren Academy in Finchley in September. I have a coupleof questions I didn't think to raise at the one to one interviews and hope someone can give me an idea. I can ask the school, but feel slightly silly doing so...

They have lunch cards which we need to put money on, what happens on the first day?

Also do they start earlier or later on the first day in September?

Will we get a letter explaining all of this prior to September?

Is there a parents log-in to follow our DD's progress or is it just by letter and planner?

Hi sue41. Best to call the secretary and ask any questions you have.

I think children will receive lunch cards on the first day which you can top up on parentpay before school starts.

Not sure for second/third question.

There is a parents log on, you will receive info when you start, I think.

This is why it's best to ask the school, they will have all the correct info.

Tks stressed4 - I thought I'd get the info eventually but I had been pestering the school so often when my DD was on the waiting list I didn't want to keep pestering them.

Feel the fight for a place was worth it!

Just called the school today, for any other parents joining in September, we have to send a cheque or cash in on the first day and they will credit their cards for with their lunch money.

Starting time, normal for everyone on first day - 8.35am.
