IB in Macclesfield?

Anyone have a child doing IB in or near Macclesfield? Would I be right in thinking that Manchester Grammar is the nearest IB school? Is there a girl's equivalent?

(interested in info for my niece)

I live not far from Manchester but I don't think there's a girls' Grammar. You could check whether Wythenshaw(?e) offer it? I think that's girls only.

thanks sandripples!

your post led me through more productive googling and have now found cheadle & marple sixth form who offer it. This may be an option...

Good. I don't have much experience of Marple
but my DD did the sessions there on Saturday mornings for four years, for gifted and talented - they were great! Run by Regional NAGTY. This was a while ago. We lived in Marple too, just for 6 months while house-hunting and we liked it and surroundings.

I would say your nearest would be Manchester girls grammar, loretto college or trafford college all of which offer IB diplomas. Macc is a bit of a place on its own and none of the state secondary schools in Macc do it.
