I rang the school and got to chat to head of year (7) She was very nice, said she'll talk to PE teacher and see if they can be more vigilant. I'm pretty sure it's someone in his year as his friend had a lot of cash stolen on their trip to Wales.

Was quite impressed with the school really, they've even said they'll reimburse us.

I'll have to hatch some plan to catch the thief. Was even thinking of a mouse trap but knowing ds1 he'll forget it's there

Is there a valuables box where he can hand it in? Most schools have a system where they caqn hand stuff in so this does not happen.

Yes meant to say they said if he hands it to his form teacher she can look after it.

I vaguely remember having to hand all valuables in to the PE teacher before a lesson and then getting it doled back to us at the end.

Very generous of the school to reimburse you, if he should have handed his valuables in before the lesson.
They probably have a good idea who it is.

Changing rooms should be locked I'd have thought during lessons. Maybe get them to explain their policy.

My ds' school provide lockers and the pupils are expected to lock stuff away during lessons. They also have a cashless lunch system so eliminates the need for children to have cash in school.
