Personally I'm finding it very hard on me. I keep taking an emotional hit every time I ask about revision. What has helped has been to get dh on board, but he is a bit work-obsessed himself at the moment.

Anyone else?

Music here too - clashing with citizenship so like eatyourveg's DC mine will have to do the two in row.

I'll be glad when it's all over - DD is quite calm going to the exams then has a meltdown afterwards -convinced that she's failed.

Ah well roll on August I suppose.

snorkie · 18/06/2010 10:08

Another music here, but no clashes with it fortunately. Then just two more latin papers on Monday & it's over. to those of you finishing today.

Remotew · 18/06/2010 11:39

Eatyourveg, she said it was OK and she managed to finish all questions. It was a similar study to one we had looked at.

Physics today then last one Drama on Tuesday which she isn't taking for A level so says she isn't bothered about.

I think they have all had enough now. Congrats to us all on getting through it . DD is looking forward to leavers ball, few days away with mates, then I've told her to have a few days dossing at home then look for a job and relax until dreaded results day. See you all on the results jitters thread.

Just drama on tuesday for us too,he has just complained that he's bored with not enough to do now!!

It's all over !! - there are a pair of school trousers hanging over the pergola/rose bush in celebration chucked there by a laughing DS.

ds1 and his friends had a ritualistic burning of the poetry anthology. School uniform however still needed for speech day in 2 weeks.

Am I being a kill joy in not letting him bin all his work just in case he has re-sits?

snorkie · 18/06/2010 19:42

ds won't be able to burn his uniform just yet - he's got 2 or 3 concerts, music lessons, a piano exam, sports day and is planning to go into school for sailing 3 afternoons a week before the end of term.

well ds finished yesterday & was smiling all evening (especially when we had his favorite chocolate pud and strawberries for tea). Best wishes to all those finishing today.

Have finally (or rather child has) finished all GCSEs on Tuesday, having taken the plunge last year and reduced my hours so I could be at home to encourage (make sure) he actually did some revision, although it was hard to tell when on BBC Bitesize, if he was smiling it was likely he was on MSN - however, now feel at a lose end, not wanted or required anymore I think i'm getting empty nest syndrome before he's gone. Does anyone else feel like this?
