Any good secondary in Richmond upon Thames?

Does anyone have any knowledge of whether there are good secondaries in the area? I have a six year old quite bright DS and don't know whether he'll be ok in one of the state secondaries or whether we shhould start saving to send him to somewhere like Kings (St Paul's financially out of the question!). Would be a real stretch for us but don't want him in an academically poor school. Thanks for your help in advance

I have a daughter at Teddington School and she is very happy (and working hard)

Depends where you live in Richmond and which state primary you attend - you have to be in linked primary school to stand a chance of getting into a decent state secondary. You could live next to Teddington School or Orleans, for instance - but if your child isn't at a linked primary you can forget it.
