First DC just will be in Yr 10 next academic and it has just dawned on me that I now have 6 years of feckin modular exam hell! Two kids - that will mean something for us to look forward to every Jan and June.

It seemed okay from a teacher perspective but as a parent - omg

Good luck!

we got away without exams in Jan of year 10 - it depends on the school. So you just might have a half years grace before it all starts!

Not only will I have to nag my form and my teaching classes but also my own kids. I have a dastardly plan - I will record various 'sentences' that I can then replay under a variety of circumstance.

I am in the same position but my friends has 3 children with 2 years between each, she will be going through it for 8 years

I always tell my A level students that, if they go to university after this, they won't have a real Xmas break for the next 5 years, as they'll always have January exams....

good luck!! hadn't thought about it from the parents' point of view. I have a few years to go yet (DS is 14 months old!)

University exam as well! Bloody hell we will be changing the locks once they leave.

I check and re-checked the options list but GCSE X-box wasn't there ..
