Probably a high school in the Greater London area, green checked skirt, brown jumper. Went on a visit to the Natural History Museum today. Anyone recognise this?

intriguing

traceybath · 24/03/2010 20:36

Why? So you can comment on how well behaved the children were?

deaddei · 24/03/2010 21:36

Sounds disgusting- bet it's a Catholic one! They seem to have the worst uniform in our area.

traceybath · 25/03/2010 12:22

Oh sorry MsDav - it sounded like a private school uniform and I assumed you were going to start slating the school .

posey · 25/03/2010 14:25

Yes they should be able to tell you. Let the school know how impressed you were as it may really boost moral, you never know.

I go to my local pool quite a lot and share the changing rooms with various different groups of children. There was one group I saw week after week, 8 year olds, and they were beautifully behaved, their teacher spoke to them nicely, would happily have sent my children there...so I told the teacher! She was absolutely taken aback that I'd said anything, and when I went to the loo, the girls all started asking her what I'd said. She told them and also said she would let the head know. Just think its really important to give compliments where people often only speak up to complain.

PlumBumMum · 25/03/2010 14:29

deaddei that is soo true, my uniform was pretty rare

Nymphadora · 25/03/2010 14:48

I used to meet the same group at the swimming pool every week. The kids automatically held doors for us and everything. When we changed classes the school we met then ran RIOT and were awful

Some of my school went there yesterday. Not London and, as I saw them getting on the coach not in uniform, ( at least, not the school one!) it wasn't them.

But they are lovely

MrsBadger · 25/03/2010 19:36

am racking my brains brown jumper but kilts too blue?

hippipotamiHasLost80lbs · 25/03/2010 20:29

Definately ask the museum and then send the school a letter of praise for their pupil's behaviour.

There is a letter pinned up in the staffroom at our local secondary school from a family who found themselves on an airplane from Russia with a large group of Y10 pupils. They feared the worst but were so delighted with the behaviour of the students they wrote a lovely letter to that effect. It was a great boost for both staff, pupils and parents.

pupil's? pupils'? Sorry, not sure...

MsDav · 26/03/2010 10:10

That does look like it MrsBadger, I will ask the NHM too. Cheers everyone

MsDav · 26/03/2010 16:29

Definitely wasn't St Phils, i know that uniform very well, I went to school not too far away from there. I think the Mill Hill school looks like it, my poor old lady eyes thought the check was green but it must have been blue
