Dear Mums.

Please l am new to this site and really need all the help l can get.
We are moving to the UK this July (expats, never lived in the UK before) and l have 3 kids 16,13 and 9. l will love for them to be in the same school but it has to be the international Baccalaureate since that's what the are doing presently in Dubai. They are presently in grades 11, 8 and 4. Please could you help me out with names of very good private schools because that will determine where we will live in Surrey. Sorry for my long mail but really confused and desperate. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks

Friend's son currently doing IB at ACS Cobham, well-rounded, mature , sporty boy - very happy there.

KCS also takes girls into the 6th form now and many have transferred successfully to the IB course there from Wimbledon/Putney High School and probably could also do that from Lady Eleanor Holles. I have a feeling Marymount the International school in Kingston might also be worth considering for you.

OP, if you are still looking, Hurstpierpoint definitely does IB. A friend who lives in Dubai is sending her DD there this coming September and is considering IB.

OP - not in Surrey but nearby in Kent is Sevenoaks School - mega academic and does IB. Superselective and probably full. Advise buying the Good Schools Guide (expensive - at least £35 I think - can get online too).

About King Edward's Witley, Peri999, time2go, anybody else? I would be very interested in hearing more about this school, my dd aged 16 is looking at joining IB next September 2011. Someone mentioned that it has a big contingent of Learning difficulties/problem background kids .... is this true? are your kids happy there? can you tell me more? THANKS!

Tobo - are you still wanting information on King Edwards? I have a son there who will be going into Year 4 next year - he's been at the school since Year 1 and is very happy there. I could help you with questions about the IB and Sixth Form so please let me know if you need anything.

Hello- I find myself in the same situation you were in when you posted your inquiry. I wonder if you would let me know about the school you selected.....

Friend's daughter got early acceptance into Oxford Uni after excellent GCSE's and they specifically told her to do IB and not A Levels and to also focus on Physical Ed
