Hi, my daughter is currently in year 5 so we are coming up for choosing a secondary school, this is the first time we have been through this and i would appreciate any advice from anyone!!!!!
We live in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire and there seems to be very differing views on the local schools. Thanks to anyone that can help.

Cheshunt - a mixed reputation - most parents I know of children there don't have a problem with it, although their results aren't good, but intake is fairly low to start with.

St Marys - I have looked round it several times and I don't like the headmistress. Just failed it's ofsted again after coming out of special measures. Parents I know there don't have a problem with it. But they are supposed to be moving into the new school without the footbridge being sorted out.

Turnford - not keen on may be improving as new head.

Goffs - living on it's past reputation, have heard there is a bullying problem, but new head again and don't know if that has been sorted.

Broxbourne- everyone fights to get into it ie renting on the doorstep. Think they now do an aptitude for language so might be able to get in that. Parents i know happy with it.

John Warner - lovely school - DS got in on aptitude for technology and dd got in as sibling, both of them very happy and thriving.
