We are loving to Tring in the summer, are there many children going to the Aylesbury Grammar schools from Tring? Is there a school bus? Also appreciate any feedback on primary schools in Tring because have to make decisions about sons in Y6 and Y4

Just wanted to post and say the best of luck for your move. I am married into a Tring family. They all went through Tring Secondary with pretty good results- went to Uni etc- so would not sweat too much about the Grammar Schools. I work in MK and the catchment area extends as far as that with buses running into the Grammar Schools but not sure Tring would fall within catchment as it is Herts rather than Bucks( even though it is nearer). Failing that you have Cedars Upper in LB which is an excellent comp.

Hope you enjoy Tring- it really is lovely- just remember your hiking boots if you need the station!

My daughter is in year 7 at Aylesbury High school and has three new friends in her year group who live in Tring. They have to travel by public bus as there isn't a school bus. As they build more houses in Aylesbury I expect there will be fewer places for out of county children, but at the moment there are places for children from as far away as Thame and Milton Keynes.

Any thoughts on Tring secondary school? We have a daughter in Y8. In terms of commuting what is it like getting to London in the mornings from Tring? Is there plenty of cycle storage?
