Can anyone solve this equation please

and prove which one of us - DH or myself is correct

6-2x=3

add 2x to each side => 6 = 3 + 2x

subtract 3 from each side => 6 - 3 = 2x

3 = 2x

now divide both sides by 2 => 3/2 = x therefore x = 1.5

which of you said x = 1 1/2? you or DH?

6 - 3 = 3

so x = 1.5

It was me - I was right........
DH got a double minus therefore a plus....but he wouldn't believe me as of course he is better than me at Maths
