Hello there, since no one else has replied, I thought that I might have a go. I went to look at the school last year as a prospective parent. I thought that the head came across very well but that the school did not seem very academic, with a fairly strong focus on sports and very heavily boy-orientated. You do not say whether your DC is a boy or a girl: if a not terribly academic boy, I would say definitely go and look. Any MNers out there who think that I am unfair and that PP is great for girls as well?

The only other thing I would say is that I do know of one instance in my circle of acquaintance where the school was extremely good on what you might call pastoral care with a particular girl - I don't want to describe the details because this would identify her (at least to the school) but her parents speak extremely highly of PP!

I also went to look and agree that the headmaster was very impressive, I would be worried if he left.

It did feel rather boy heavy, but it I have heard lots of very good things about it, I do know of some children who have joined this year but not spoken to them since they started.

I was looking for a school that was not just focused on the academic side and it seemed to fit the bill, I was very impressed with the art side.

Did not go for it, as we have a very good state school which my DC got in to, but would consider it if things don't work out in his current school.
