About 3 years ago the head of year at my ,now 11 year old, sons school said he had APD which explained his poor English performance compared to maths/science and a good reading age.
We kind of ignored this,I suppose we hoped it would go away with maturity, but if anything it is now more noticable with very immature speech patterns. His written work is beautiful but drifts off....
My dilema is, we want him to do common entrance. All the schools ask if the child has special needs.Does he?Will it help him to 'pass' by highlighting it or will the -fairly academic- school that is our first choice reject him for being different?

No idea but I'm sure johansen therapy or INPP can help improve it. I keep toying with the idea of being treated myself (now I've had the dc treated)

Thanks for that.
I've had a look at the site and it sounds worth investigating.
