I am thinking of sending my daughter to Bradfield college - near Newbury,
does anyone have children there? if anyone knows anything or has heard anything about bradfield I would really like to know!
Thanks!

I know quite a few families with children there. It seems like a good school - caters for all abilities. They have all stayed for sixth form, which I think is a good sign.

One caveat is that it is quite remote. You either have to pick them up or pay loads for a taxi into Reading and then a train home.

My older boy is at the school. The pastoral care is very strong - they start with the first years all in the same house [sleeping accomodation strictly segregated!] and then move on to single-sex senior houses the year after.
If they board, they can come home most week-ends if they want to.
Academically, it seems to deliver a good level of teaching to a broad range of pupils.
It is well away from any towns, so the school organises buses to and from the station at less than £2 a trip.....
