I obviously know what it literally means but I will need to expand on it in an interview and just want to make sure I am going down the right path.

Thanks.

I would assume they needed someone who was able (and willing!) to give both practical and emotional support to teenage girls. Assuming this is secondary-school age, then that would cover everything from periods and PMT, up to possible pregnancies and STDs. Plus emotional support about friendships, boyfriends, wondering about their sexuality, bullying, abusive relationships, coping with faily breakups, everything teenage girls might be going through and need some help/support/advice with.

Look on the school website, my first thoughts were tampons and sex. Is it an all girl school?

Amapoleon · 21/08/2009 23:14

Thanks, no not an all girls school.

ooh. don't forget your child protection procedures and policies. boundaries about relationships..prfesional befriender not friend etc...those kind of things.

sounds like my ideal kind of job from the little you've said about it.

when's your interview? good luck
